Christ the Good Shepherd Academy of Sciences, Anyigba is a Catholic School run by the Marist Daughters of Jesus the Good Shepherd. It is a non-partisan and non-profit making organization. The school was established in the year 2002 by Rev. Bro. Thomas Ezeaku; whose vision and dream was to give a holistic Education to our youths to make them self-reliant and be self-employed for better self-integrity and to be impactful to the society. The whole lot of our dedication is towards the fundalmental needs of the minorities and the less privileged in the society. We offer education devoid of race, gender and religion in the society. Our curriculum is a science methodology we developed in which the core science subjects - Physics, Chemistry and Biology are taught from J.S.S One to S.S Three. The school is of both boarding and day systems.
Christ the Good Shepherd Academy of Sciences has been in the enterprise of molding lives and destinies for the betterment of our society and the world at large.
The school so far has produced many reputable personalities in various professions including Medical Doctors, Engineers, Medical Lab Scientists, Pharmacists, Nurses, Mathematicians, Lawyers, etc. Such outstanding personalities among others include Peter Achimugu - a First Class graduate of Mathematics, Kunle Ogunleye, a First Class graduate of Physics, Dr Victor Atakoma, Dr Donatus Ojoma among so many others.
The school always featured in Olympiad, Cowbell, USAID, Mathematical Association of Nigeria(M.A.N), State, Inter-State, National and International Competitions in Mathematics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Cliching First Positions and other awards in the respective exercise. The school is many miles into Africa and the rest of the world.
The school, however, has been beseiged with a lot of challenges. Among the pressing challenges is the need to build 80 Units of computer lab for the students and staff of the school which made our relationship with the bank possible over the years.
